PROVERBS 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.

PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
ROMANS 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
PSALMS 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

In sad, scary, disappointing times it is easy to get sucked into the things we can’t control – though we truly need only to focus on what we can and that is only our behaviors, our mouths and ourselves. When I thought of that it became clear that when dealing with people who were (and are, possibly) your friends and when walking into a group that feels familiar you need to really be aware of manipulation and of subtle attack and you MUST guard your heart.
Father, our God,
We thank You for the love and grace that you give to us all, deserved or not. We give to You our emotions and we ask You to give us peace as we walk into the any situation. We ask that you supply us the right words and You gift us all with Your divine discernment. It is our desire to be warm and full of love – no matter the history – that we rise above and in that we are set apart by You. Thank You for all the blessings that Your have poured out over our church family, please bless us further with a Godly ability to love not as we feel or think, but as we are loved by You.
In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Love you guys, WE GOT THIS!
