the Trigger-happy housewife

Bringing the constantly fantastic and painfully insane together daily!

It’s that time of the year again.

on July 3, 2014

I love southern weather. I mean, when it is hot it is HOT (and sticky, and wet, and miserable) but while that is all true it is also beautiful. The moths of October through January (on and off as winter sets in) and then from mid March through May are absolutely lovely, perfectly cool and warm and awesome for hanging outside, running and life play. Then in the summer we have truly fantastic storms, they roll in gray and angry and wet everything. I love the way wet earth smells, and wet cement reminds me of being twee and in school.  Thankfully down this far tornadoes are rare and these storms don’t bring much other than the threat of flash floods on the roads. I love summer storms. I love them the most when the entire family is home and we can just hang out and be snug together!
